My name is Emma Stepanyan, and I am originally from Yerevan, Armenia. I graduated from the Law Department of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) State University and later earned my LL.M. degree from the American University of Armenia. My professional background in law has given me strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and I have also gained valuable teaching experience at the university level, where I enjoyed guiding students through complex subjects with clarity and structure.

Although I may come across as soft-spoken and quiet, please do not be fooled, behind that calm demeanor is a dedicated, and highly committed educator who believes in high standards, responsibility, and meaningful learning. I value discipline balanced with warmth and respect, creating an environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to grow.

As a mother of three, I deeply understand the challenges children face while growing up in the United States, especially when it comes to preserving language, identity, and cultural connection. This personal experience strongly fuels my passion for teaching Armenian language and history. Through my work, I aim to inspire students to develop a genuine love for Armenia’s rich heritage, culture, and history, ensuring that the next generation remains closely connected to their roots and understands the importance of knowing where they come from.

I am truly excited and honored to join the Erebuni Armenian School community. I look forward to contributing not only in the classroom, but also to strengthening student–parent–teacher collaboration, working together to support our children’s academic and cultural growth.
