My name is Lilit Sakeyan. I was born in Armenia and graduated from the Pedagogical University in Yerevan, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Early in my career, I worked at the Ministry of Economy as an assistant to the minister, an experience that taught me responsibility,
organization, and strong communication skills. After getting married, I moved to Moscow, where I lived for more than twenty years and raised my three children.
During that time, I discovered my true calling, working with young children. I spent six years teaching in a kindergarten, guiding children ages four to six. Those years filled my life with joy and laughter. I learned that the best way to reach young minds is through interactive, play-based learning, storytelling, music, and hands-on activities. When children feel happy and safe, they open up naturally to learning. I love creating a lively, cheerful classroom where curiosity is encouraged and every child feels valued.
My family moved to the United States in 2022, and I brought with me not only my experience but also my optimistic, energetic spirit. I am a very sociable and cheerful person, and it is easy for me to connect with children. Their smiles and excitement give me energy, and I truly enjoy seeing their confidence grow day by day. I believe that a teacher’s warmth and positive attitude are just as important as any lesson plan.
I feel especially passionate about teaching Armenian children in the Diaspora. Helping them love our beautiful language, culture, and heritage from a young age is very close to my heart. Preserving Armenian identity outside the homeland is a shared responsibility, and I am honored to contribute to that mission.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work at Erebuni Armenian School and to be part of such a dedicated team. I come to school every Saturday with a smile, ready to laugh, create, and learn together with my students, hoping to inspire in them the same love for education that fills my own heart.
