My name is Nelli Harutyunyan, and I am originally from Artsakh. I have had the honor of serving as an Armenian teacher at Erebuni Armenian School for over 20 years. I have had the privilege of guiding countless graduates through their educational journey at Erebuni Armenian School. I cherish and miss each of them every day.
In addition to my role at Erebuni, I have been an Armenian language and literature teacher for many years at Y. Charents School in Yerevan. Remarkably, I have also taught quite a few of the Erebuni School parents during their formative years in Armenia.
I am known for my compassion, my unique sense of humor rooted in the rich culture of Artsakh, my deep love for Armenian literature, my unwavering dedication to my students, and my famous Jingyalov hats. My beloved principal, Arminé Manukyan, often refers to me as “a treasure of the Armenian language and literature.”
I am deeply passionate about Erebuni Armenian School, its mission, and the dedication of its teachers. We work as a cohesive family, striving tirelessly to preserve our language, heritage, and the Armenian community. Erebuni has truly been a second home for me, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause.
As a team, we are committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can explore and appreciate their cultural roots. My approach to teaching is characterized by kindness and compassion, ensuring that each student feels valued and respected. This philosophy not only enhances the learning experience but also helps in building strong, trusting relationships between the teacher and students.
My family is my greatest source of joy and inspiration, and I strive to bring the same level of care and dedication to my students as I do to my own children.
