My name is Tatevik Martirosyan, and I was born in Armenia into a family of scientists. I hold Master’s degrees in Philosophy from Yerevan State University and in Jurisprudence from the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia. I have also worked as an assistant to the head of the Theory of State and Law department at the Academy.
In 2017, my family and I relocated to the United States. My teaching journey began at the Russian School of Math, where I taught elementary math to young learners. This experience allowed me to develop my teaching skills and learn how to handle various student situations effectively.
I am thrilled to join the Erebuni Armenian School community as a teacher. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to substitute for several teachers at Erebuni School, which has given me valuable insights into the school’s environment and the needs of its students.
My primary goal is to help preserve the Armenian identity through creative, loving, and respectful teaching methods. I strongly believe in the power of hands-on teaching, where students actively engage with the material through practical activities and real-world applications. This approach not only makes learning more enjoyable but also helps students retain information better and develop critical thinking skills.
I am committed to creating a classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn. I believe that children have much to teach us, and I strive to make the learning process enjoyable and meaningful for everyone involved. I value kindness and respect in people and live by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I am married and have two children. In addition to my professional endeavors, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and exploring new places. These activities enrich my life and provide me with new perspectives that I bring into my teaching practice.
